Any time a group of people moves together toward a common cause, there is tremendous momentum! Through your weekend services, small group studies and personal readings, your church family will focus on the same spiritual truths over a defined period of time. People of all ages and backgrounds will rally find a common truth: God has given us the tools we need to break through the walls that keep us stuck. You will be adopting a common language, to fight a common enemy.
Thankfully, no two churches are alike. Thus we don’t propose a “one size fits all” campaign for your congregation. Rather, we provide an organized, yet flexible, approach to a multi-week series of sermons, studies and events. Feel free to adapt these resources to fit your context, but keep in mind that this is a tried-and-true process. You would do well to pursue as much of it as possible in order to achieve maximum effectiveness.
Churches of all types and sizes have successfully taught The Walls Project. From congregations with thousands in attendance to small rural gatherings with but dozens, God has moved through the hearts of His people. Baptist, Presbyterian, Bible, Community, Fellowship, Pentecostal and Evangelical Free churches have all experienced the blessing of freedom from walls. Whether in English, Spanish or Cantonese, God speaks!
PRIMARY TOOLS OF THE WALLS PROJECT:
1. Sermon Series Outlines & Illustrations
Over four consecutive weeks, the Pastor will provide spiritual leadership, vision and motivation through sermons covering:
• The Danger of Walls
• Promises: God’s Secret Weapons
• When Breakthroughs Come Home
• Tearing Down Walls Together
2. Small Group Study
A powerful part of The Walls Project is biblical study in small groups. Our interactive curriculum includes video teaching clips, helpful study materials and weekly discussion guides.
3. The Walls book
Walls: Why Everybody is Stuck (and nobody has to be) is the companion book behind The Walls Project. Great care has been taken to avoid needless redundancy between the book and the other tools. Although participants do not absolutely have to read the book, doing so adds depth and a much greater impact.
4. Web-based Spiritual Assessment Tool
A unique 48 question spiritual assessment is provided to you free of charge. Over 15,000 people have taken the brief evaluation and identified their spiritual walls!
5. Promotional Materials & Graphic Resources
Professionally designed “PowerPoint” slides, bulletin inserts, posters and postcards are all included for your promotional efforts.
6. Creative “buzz” Generating Ideas
Whether used within your church or beyond its confines, these creative pieces help gener- ate curiosity and excitement. Churches from all over have shared their ideas so that you too can enjoy the best of The Walls Project.
